Formed in mid-2011 of former members of local heroes Heartwear Process and dream-poppers Desdemona, The Jettes make no-nonsense dirty noisy rock ‘n roll pop songs, gaining a bit of a reputation for turning it up to 11 even for a girl-fronted band. Currently active on the local scene, they debuted at doubledotbash!?, and played Here Comes the Sun Festival in 2011, as well as being Club Velocity and BBC Introducing regulars. Their debut EP, “Jette Stream”, recorded by Bobby Bloomfield (who has also recorded fellow Ubiquity favourites Vienna Ditto) will be released by Ubiquity on 16th March 2013. Think: The Raveonettes, The Jesus & Mary Chain, and even The Ronettes, in the guise of 90s NYC-style rock ‘n roll. Awesome.
