Kicking Television were born following the disbanding of Reading favourites Johnny Arrow & The Cheap Day Returns, who decided to call it a day in 2011. It represents a fresh way of making music for Alex, Jof and Simon, taking their pop song craftsmanship and applying it to something harder and more progressive.

Taking little bits of influence from the likes of Wilco, Queens of the Stone Age and Radiohead, they mix instant melody and directness with powerful drums and dark riffs, creating a big live sound with light and shade and real dynamic contrast.
