Jonathan has been part of many successful Reading bands, including Johnny Arrow & The Cheap Day Returns, Sleep Room and Kicking Television and has supported the likes of Mark Morriss of the Bluetones, critically acclaimed band Everything Everything and Guardian favourites, Tuff Love. He is now taking the whole blame for everything that he does as he strikes out on his own.
No shrinking bedroom troubadour, Jonathan Amphlett rips off the best bits of Josh Ritter, Courtney Barnett, Matt Berninger and Jeff Tweedy; lyrics that would make Hemmingway fire his shotgun in appreciation combined with an electric Englishcountry swing.
The Warming Of The Blood, Jonathan’s debut album released on Ubiquity Project Records in April 2016 is clever pop music with infectious choruses. Its layered, dense sound was crafted in Silver Street Studios with producer Graeme Rawson.
